Newhaven Museum, East Sussex

The museum has one line of a Rapid Wire system, restored in 2008 by Peter Mason. The propulsions came from the Co-op in Newhaven and the car from Child's of Faversham.

One of the restored propulsions with modern elastic. The maker's plate indicates "Lamson Store Service Co, 132 Cheapside." Photograph: Tony Helyar, Newhaven Historical Society.

The line runs alongside a row of photographs.
